2025 US Payroll Tax Tables

Our staff is very busy finishing our new accounting software. To save time, we will only create 2025 tax tables for states that receive a user request.

Click the link to see detailed instructions for 2025 US Payroll setup. This year there are separate imports for state and Federal tax tables.

Payroll is completely out of hand for a few states that have income taxes for cities, counties or school districts (a gradually expanding trend). Users in those places may need to set up a custom tax package for every employee, based on their residence, place of work and/or W-4 details.

Meanwhile, US Federal payroll tax withholding formulas changed slightly for 2025 (they have changed every year since 1988, the first year for our payroll software).

The following states changed their payroll withholding formulas for 2025: California.

The following states did not change their payroll withholding rates or formulas for 2024 (you will still need to update state SUTA and US Federal withholding): Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania,

The following states have federal withholding, but no state or local payroll tax withholding (you will still need to update state SUTA and US Federal withholding): Alaska, Florida, Nevada, New Hampshire, South Dakota , Tennessee, Texas, Washington, Wyoming.

Printing W-2 and 1099 Forms
