Estimating Categories

NOTE-- MacNail estimating was retired in 2000, and replaced with Goldenseal construction estimating software. There are still die-hard MacNail users, so we keep the manuals online for their use! Goldenseal is an integrated program that also includes accounting, scheduling and contract writing features. It stores every estimate as a database record, rather than as a separate file.

Go To Category

Choose *Go to Category to jump to a specific construction category in the MacNail construction estimating software.

It will show you a Go To dialog box.

Scroll through the list and select the desired category. If you chose *Go to Category while in Clearinghouse it jumps to that construction category within Clearinghouse, otherwise it will jump to that category within Specifications.

Command key shortcut: Option-Command-G.

Accounts, Schedules, Customizing

Choose any of these menu items to transfer to a different MacNail function. See the MacNail Accounting, MacNail Scheduling, and MacNail Customizing manuals for more information about each.

The Estimating Manager will be closed automatically during the transfer, and new menu commands will be created to match the new MacNail functions.
