The Goldenseal accounting software tracks expenses for equipment, labor, materials, subcontractors and other costs. It uses the expense transactions for job costs, time-and-materials billing and accounts payable. HINT-- Use the Pay Bills command to pay expenses, after you enter them. Equipment HoursGoldenseal is time tracking software that lets you enter Equipment Hours records to keep track of the times when you use your own equipment on jobs. You can use them for any of the following reasons:
Labor HoursEnter Labor Hours records to keep track of employee and owner time. They give you a permanent record of all your labor costs. You can use Labor Hours records for any of the following reasons:
Material PurchasesEnter Material Purchase records for anything you buy. They give you a permanent record of all your material costs. Goldenseal will automatically post material purchases to job cost totals and time and materials billing. If you use an item breakdown, it will also update the material cost in each Assembly that includes those items. When you pay for material purchases with cash, check or credit card, Goldenseal automatically creates an instant purchase transaction that pays for the purchase. It automatically adds billed purchases to your accounts payable. To pay for billed purchases, use the Pay Bills command. Inventory UsedEnter Inventory Used records when you use materials from inventory. Goldenseal will automatically post the inventory cost to job costs and time and materials billing. It also reduces the inventory quantity for the item. Subcontractor CostsEnter Subcontractor Cost records when subcontractors do work for you. Goldenseal will automatically post the expense to job costs and time and materials billing. When you pay subcontractors with cash, check or credit card, Goldenseal automatically creates an instant purchase transaction that pays for the purchase. To pay for billed subcontractor costs, use the Pay Bills command. Other CostsEnter Other Costs records for miscellaneous expenses. Goldenseal will automatically post the expense to job costs and time and materials billing. When you pay for an item with cash, check or credit card, Goldenseal automatically creates an instant purchase transaction that pays for the purchase.
