Subcontracted Items

NOTE-- We retired MacNail estimating in 2000, and replaced it with Goldenseal construction estimating software. There are still die-hard MacNail users, so we keep the manuals online for their use! Goldenseal is an integrated program that also includes accounting, scheduling and contract writing features. It has a large variety of potential line items that you can include in Estimates, including subcontractor unit costs, subcontractor bids, and "unlisted" subcontractor costs that you just type in.

Subcontracted Line Items

Choose *Subcontracted to use subcontractor pricing for items on the Specifications list in the MacNail construction estimating software. All labor and material costs will be listed in the Subcontractor column. The formulas for all selected rows will be changed.

To change several items at one time: drag the mouse through several rows, and all will be converted.

Use this command for items that are subcontracted, when the subcontractor provides materials as a part of the price.
