Installing MacNail Estimating |
NOTE-- We retired MacNail estimating in 2000, and replaced it with Goldenseal construction estimating software. There are still die-hard MacNail users, so we keep the manuals online for their use! Goldenseal is an integrated program that also includes accounting, scheduling and contract writing features. It's a stand-alone program that is very easy to install and use. Installing MacNail Estimating for Macintosh The MacNail construction estimating software requires version 1.5 or greater of Microsoft Excel. To install Excel on your hard disk, follow the instructions in your Excel manual. To install the MacNail construction estimating software, follow the instructions on the supplementary instructions (orange sheet) that come with this manual. There are two 'Print Me!' documents in the Estimating Blanks folder--they give a listing of MacNail's construction categories. You may need to adjust margins, fonts and reduction percentage to get them to fit onto one page. Check Page Setup before printing. Installing MacNail Estimating for Windows One MacNail disk is mailed as a part of this package. The program is compressed, so you'll need to run an installer to put it onto your hard drive. To load the MacNail construction estimating software onto your
hard disk, follow the installation instructions on the orange sheet that comes with this
manual. |
