Estimate Error Messages

NOTE-- Goldenseal construction estimating software replaced MacNail back in 2000. There are still quite a few MacNail users, so we keep the manuals online for their use! Goldenseal is an integrated program that also includes accounting, job costing and project management features. Because Goldenseal is a stand-alone program, it avoids most of the Excel-based problems described here.

Extract Range Invalid

The extract or criteria may be damaged. Choose Repair Database from the OPTIONS menu.

I lost a window!

Choose *Reset Windows from the FORMAT menu.

I'm lost!

Move the 'slide bar' at the right side of the window all the way to the top, and the 'slide bar' at the bottom of the window all the way to the left.

If that doesn 't work, choose the command from the MacNail menu for wherever you want to be.

Interrupted or Unfinished Macros.

Some versions of Excel are sensitive to interference with some resources (things like Smart Alarms, or screen savers). When running a long Macro turn any screen savers off. Some screen savers will interrupt MacNail Macros. See also page 197 and page 194.
