Opening Customizing Files

NOTE-- We retired the MacNail estimating program in 2000, and replaced it with Goldenseal construction estimating software. There are still a significant number of die-hard MacNail users, so we keep the manuals online for them! Goldenseal is an integrated program that also includes accounting, scheduling and contract writing features. It stores all company data in a single file, so you don't need to worry about multiple files as in MacNail.

Open File

Choose Open File to open any MacNail Customizing file.

You will first be asked to choose the type of Customizing file to open.

The MacNail construction management software will then check the appropriate folder, and show you a list of files that are of the selected type.

Click on a file, then click OK, and it will be opened.

If you choose Material Price SET from the first menu, MacNail will open a set of three files-- a Price Sheet, a Comparisons file, and an Assembly file.
