Entering Equity Transfers
To enter an Equity Transfer, follow these steps:
- Choose Special Transfers from the Bank menu, then choose Equity Transfers from the submenu.
- Click the New button, or choose New Record from the Edit menu.
- Enter details for the transfer.
Data Fields
Enter the following information for each Equity Transfers:
Transfer Type-- Choose the type of transfer. Use Investment when an owner is contributing cash to the company. Choose Draw when
an owner is taking cash from the company. Choose Transfer when you are moving ownership from one account to another.
Take From-- Choose the type of account from which funds will be taken.
Take From Account-- Choose the account from which funds will be taken.
Amount-- Choose the amount that is being transferred.
Date-- Enter the date of the transfer.
Record Number-- A record number is entered automatically.
Transfer To-- Choose the type of account to which funds will be paid.
Transfer To Account-- Choose the account to which funds will be paid.
Comments-- Add any comments you have about this transaction.
Using Equity Transfers
Use Equity Transfers to record investments, owner draws or transfers between
owners.
NOTE-- Goldenseal currently does no posting of equity transfers. They will not affect any
account balances. We'll add more features to this transaction if we hear of a problem that it will solve!
