Macintosh Currency Symbols |
How do I set Goldenseal for a different currency? NOTE-- These instructions are for our Macintosh accounting software-- click here for Windows computers. Goldenseal accounting software and estimating software uses the currency symbol that is set in your System. You can change it to euros, pounds, yens, pesos, Brobdenagian flotzelgrubers, or any other currency symbol. The change will also affect any other computer programs that check the system for the currency symbol. NOTE-- If you use the Euro, Pound or Yen symbol (€, £, ¥) or some other special currency mark, you'll also need to use a font that includes that character. In most Mac fonts, the pound £ symbol is option-3, the euro € symbol is option-shift-3, and the yen ¥ symbol is option-y. NOTE-- If you change System Preferences while the Goldenseal business software program is running, you'll need to Quit from Goldenseal and reopen your company file, before Goldenseal will start using the new settings. NOTE-- In Goldenseal 4.96 and later, you can also set up an alternate currency symbol without using the Control Panel.
