Printing Material Takeoffs

NOTE-- We retired the BidMagic construction estimating software in 2001. It has been replaced by Goldenseal construction estimating software.

We still include this BidMagic estimating software manual as a convenience for users of our older program. Many features are similar, in Goldenseal estimating.

Printing A Material Takeoff

To print a material takeoff list for part or all of a project, follow these steps:
1. Open the bid from which you would like to print a material takeoff.
2. Choose Print Material Takeoff from the File menu.

NOTE: This command is only available in BidMagic version 1.5 and later. If you don't see this menu command, you must install the BidMagic 1.5 update.

3. Select the specifications categories you would like to include. To print a takeoff for the entire bid, click the Select All button. To print a takeoff for just some categories, click on the names of the categories you would like to use, then click the OK button.
HINT: To select several categories, hold down the Command key as you click on the name of each category.

4. BidMagic will calculate the takeoff materials and quantities, and print a detailed takeoff report.
