Paneling and Wainscot Removal Cost |
Construction ITEM DESCRIPTION Demolition unit price for the removal of v-groove wood paneling, tongue and groove wainscot and other solid wood paneling. Unit Size One square foot. Labor Costs We figure about 75 square feet of demolition per hour for an unskilled worker. The price includes stripping of the paneling from the wall, lugging the material to a dumpster or dump truck, and clearing nails from the framing. NOTE-- If you plan to salvage the paneling or wainscoting, allow more time for more careful stripping, and removal of nails from the paneling itself. Of course in that case you also get the value of the salvaged paneling. Material Costs We figure one wrecking bar lost per 500 square feet of paneling removed. This cost also helps to cover incidental expenses such as gloves and dust masks. Suggested Quantity No suggested quantity. Just enter the amount of paneling removal that you think will be required. Source of Construction Pricing We have never actually timed this in Turtle Creek Construction, but the quantity matched pretty well with past project scheduling records.
