Hand Dug Foundation Excavating |
Construction ITEM DESCRIPTION Construction unit cost for an easy foundation hole dug out by hand. Unit Size One cubic yard of soil removed. Labor and Equipment Costs We figure about 1.2 hours per cubic yard of soil removed. This is for a single toss out of holes dug 3 or 4 feet deep for footings. Material Costs None included Suggested Quantity Goldenseal calculates the foundation excavation volume, based on the area and depth. You can adjust the quantity if a different amount of excavation is required (for example, on sloping ground). Source of Construction Pricing We timed our crew on one project that required hand digging in fairly sandy soil. Doing that again would probably be a good way for the staff at Turtle Creek Software to get back into better shape! Places Included Architect Starter File, Construction Starter File, Developer Starter File. Comments Click here for more about Goldenseal construction estimating software.
