Problem

The Bill of Materials report for an Estimate would duplicate materials included from a Project Phase.

User bug report.

Workaround

The Bill of Materials by Item report does not have this problem, since it uses a different approach to assemble the report.

Solution

This bug is fixed in Goldenseal estimating software versions 4.9 and later.

HINT: Depending on how you use Project Phases, you may or may not want to include its materials in the Bill fo Materials report. You can control that via Options--Preferences--Income. The same also applies to Bids and other components of an Estimate.
