Problem

In Goldenseal estimating software version 4.6, opening an estimate causes a crash, when using an older Macintosh with a Power PC chip, and OS X. This problem is caused by the new feature, that draws rows different colors depending on their category. It does not occur in earlier versions.

Workaround

You can prevent the problem by turning off the option for drawing category colors. To do so, follow these steps:

1. Choose Preferences from the Options menu, and choose Interface from the submenu.
2. Turn off the Tables Use Category Colors checkbox at lower left.
3. Click OK.

Solution

This problem is fixed in the version 4.7 update for Goldenseal estimating software.
