Custom Lists

Feature

Starting in Goldenseal small business software version 4.7, you can now set up 5 custom lists, instead of the previous 3. You can give the lists any name you'd like, and you can add them to any layouts.

How to Use

To enter the name for a custom list, follow these steps:

  1. Choose Preferences from the Options menu, and choose Interface from the submenu.
  2. Type any name you'd like, into the five Custom List fields at upper right.
  3. Click OK.

To enter data into a custom list, follow these steps:

  1. Choose Custom Lists from the Options menu, and choose one of the lists from the submenu.
  2. Click the New button to add a new list item.

To add a custom list to an account or transaction class, follow these steps:

  1. Choose Custom Layouts from the Options menu, and choose Accounts or Transactions from the submenu.
  2. Enter the desired record class into the popup field at upper left.
  3. Choose New Custom Field from the Edit menu.
  4. In the dialog box, type in a name for the field, and choose List Clairvoyant into the Type popup.
  5. Click the Display popup, and enter one of the custom lists.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Position the new field anywhere on the layout.
  8. Close the layout and save changes.
