Include Employees

Problem

In Goldenseal accounting software versions 4.6 and earlier, users wishing to clone their company file would have to use the Custom Layouts command to add the Include in Starter Field checkbox to Employee accounts, since it wasn't on the stock layout.

Workaround

To fix this problem in earlier versions of Goldenseal, follow these steps:

  1. Choose Custom Layouts from the Options menu, and choose Accounts from the submenu.
  2. Enter Employee Accounts into the Account Type popup field at upper left.
  3. Enter Contact Info into the Layout popup field.
  4. Click the field tool in the palette on the left side of the window (fourth row left).
  5. Click in the layout, and drag a rectangle where you'd like the field to appear.
  6. Choose Include in Starter File from the list of optional fields.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Close the layout, and save changes.

Solution

Starting with Goldenseal accounting software version 4.6, this checkbox is automatically included in stock layouts. Just click the Contact Info button, to see it.
