Comp Time Balance on Paychecks

Starting with Goldenseal payroll software version 4.3, you can include the comp time balance for each employee on their paycheck. You can also show their current balance for accrued vacation, sick days and personal days.

NOTE-- The Comp Time Balance is an optional field. You'll need to add it to your layouts as described below.

How to Use

To add the employee's comp time balance to their paychecks, follow these steps:

  1. Choose Custom Layouts from the Options menu, and choose Printed Forms from the submenu.
  2. Enter Checking Transactions into the Transaction popup field at upper left.
  3. Enter one of the paycheck blanks into the Print Form popup field.
  4. Click on the Field tool (fourth row left in the tool palette on the left side of the window).
  5. Click in the layout, and drag a rectangle at the location where you'd like to add the new field.
  6. You'll see a list of optional fields. Choose Comp Time Balance, then click OK.
  7. You can repeat steps 4 to 6 to add Sick Time Balance, Other Vacation Balance or Vacation Balance.
  8. When you are finished, close the layout and save changes.
