When you add certain custom fields to an account or transaction class, Goldenseal will treat them similarly to that field in other records.

For example, you can add a custom Employee field to the Contact Log, and Goldenseal will fill it the Sales Rep automatically when you enter a contact with a customer.

How to Use

To add a custom field to a transaction such as the Contact Log, follow these steps:

  1. Choose Custom Layouts from the Options menu, and choose Transactions from the submenu.
  2. Locate the record layout you'd like to change.
  3. Choose New Custom Field from the Edit menu.
  4. Enter Account Clairvoyant into the Type field.
  5. Enter Employee Account into the Display popup field.
  6. Click OK.
