Wage Statements

How can I print a wage & deduction statement for employees?

Goldenseal payroll software provides several different ways to print a wage and deduction statement for your employees.

If you print paychecks, here's how to include a wage/deduction statement on the check stub:

  1. Use the Write Payroll command to write payroll and create paychecks.
  2. Choose Checking Transactions from the Bank menu, and choose an account from the submenu.
  3. Use the Find command to locate the paycheck(s).
  4. Put some pre-printed check blanks into your printer.
  5. Choose Print Forms from the File menu.
  6. Enter one of the paycheck forms into the Form Type popup field.
  7. Enter Active Record into the Item Range popup field to print one paycheck, or enter Found Checks to print all found records.
  8. Click the Print button.
  9. Goldenseal will print paychecks onto the check stock.
  10. Remove any excess checks from the printer!

If you hand write checks or pay by automatic transfer, follow the same steps above, but print onto regular white paper to get a pay stub.

If you pay by cash, follow these steps to print a pay stub:

  1. Use the Write Payroll command to write payroll and create cash payments for payroll.
  2. Choose Cash Transactions from the Bank menu, and choose an account from the submenu.
  3. Use the Find command to locate the payroll payments(s).
  4. Choose Print Forms from the File menu.
  5. Enter Pay Stub into the Form Type popup field.
  6. Enter Active Record into the Item Range popup field to print one record, or enter Found Records to print all found records.
  7. Click the Print button.
  8. Goldenseal will print pay stubs.

You can also print a wage statement directly from Payroll Records. Follow these steps:

  1. Use the Write Payroll command to write payroll and create paychecks or cash payments.
  2. Choose Payroll Records from the Costs menu.
  3. Use the Find command to locate records from the current period. HINT-- search by date!
  4. Choose Print Forms from the File menu.
  5. Enter Employee Deductions into the Form Type popup field.
  6. Enter Active Record into the Item Range popup field to print one record, or enter Found Records to print all found records.
  7. Click the Print button.
  8. Goldenseal will print wage statements for the selected employees.
