Retail Cost Categories

What Category Systems are available for organizing my retail or wholesale business?

Each Goldenseal Starter File includes several different Category Systems, so you can organize your expenses and income into a logical set of cost divisions. The Retail Starter File is designed specifically for retail businesses, selling any items.

The Retail Starter File come with the following Category Systems:

  • Equipment-- tracking expenses for equipment maintenance and repairs
  • Marketing-- costs for advertising and marketing
  • No Categories-- blank category system
  • Office-- for office and overhead expenses
  • Storefront Costs-- costs for maintaining a store or sales office

NOTE-- You'll probably want to add more Cost Categories for each of the types of items that you buy and sell.
