Goldenseal is time billing software which tracks employee and equipment time, material purchases and other expenses for time and materials or "cost plus" billing. It is designed for architects, consultants and other professionals. It also works well for construction companies and service businesses.

To do time billing, you'll set up Project accounts for the jobs that you do, and then enter employee hours and assign them to each project. Choose Billing from the Bank menu and choose Time and Materials from the submenu, and Goldenseal will show you all time billing projects, with the costs for each.

Goldenseal lets you use a separate billing rate for each employee (you can also use different billing rates for different projects). It also lets you add markup, ether as part of the billing rate or as a separate percentage.

Along with its time billing features, Goldenseal also includes general accounting, cost estimates, project management and general business management tools.
