Goldenseal is Macintosh accounting software that helps to run any type of small business. It is an integrated software program that handles general accounting, cost tracking, cost estimates, customer relations, payroll and general business functions.

The Goldenseal software is particularly good at the following:

  • Cost estimating-- it's a full featured estimating program with unit costs, assemblies, project templates and "smart dimensions".
  • Job cost tracking-- You can assign every expense to a project, cost category, subcategory and location. Employee costs can include "burden", and you can see a variety of "estimated vs actual" reports of job costs.
  • Project billing-- Goldenseal includes billing for time and materials work, draw schedules and allowances. It also bills separately for project allowances and change orders.
  • Payroll accounting-- Goldenseal comes with tax tables for all US states and Canadian provinces. It prints paychecks and handles union dues, worker's comp, state and local taxes, vacations and benefits.

Goldenseal runs on any Macintosh computer with System 7 or newer. It runs native on Macintosh OS X.
