Macro Error H10

Problem

macro error H10 while using MacNail construction management software
H10 in the MacNail manager basically tells the manager that it has just opened to run "menu.open" (which puts up the menu bar).

Diagnosis

• Macintosh only: if they try to open Customizing Manager 2.6 from the Transfer menu, it gives this error, since cust. 2.6 doesn't have menus.
• Windows only: if they erroneously install MacNail construction software or the demo in xl 4 format, then replaced only the MacNail manager because of screwed up installation the second time, it will give this error. The manager they're trying to open will be gibberish, and thus can't run "menu.open".

Solution

if 1 or 2 above, explain what caused it and have them ignore it--it's nothing serious!
If neither of the above problems, the manager they tried to open (Estimating Manager, Accounting Manager, or whichever one matches the selected button) is screwed up (i.e. missing defined name 'menu.open', or worse damage than that). To fix the problem, it should be replaced.

Comments

We can have it give a "this worksheet is damaged" or a "can't find defined name 'menu.open'" error message in the future, but that actually wouldn't help the end user that much either, so maybe it's just best to understand how H10 error might occur. At least H10 is easy to find when searching in Tech Answers!
