Networking MacNail

Problem

Can MacNail construction management software be run on a network?

Diagnosis

Depends on what user means. A single copy of MacNail can be run on a network, and several people can access the same worksheet. Only one may have write permission though- the rest are read-only. XL's idea of read-only is to allow to make changes to the document, but you have to save them under a different name.

Solution

Legally, you can't have the same manager running on two different computers at the same time unless you get a site license from us. You CAN have two different managers running on two different computers, assuming each computer has its own legal copy of XL.
Bottom line: if they want to network MacNail construction software, they must get a site license. See policies/procedures for site license info.

NOTE-- Our newer Goldenseal software is a true networking software program that allows many users to work on the same file at the same time.
