Problem

Transfer Manager won't work -- can't find export file -- Can't get export going when importing an estimate from BidMagic to MacNail construction estimating software

Diagnosis

Folder layouts are probably screwed up. The BIDMAGIC folder should be inside their main MacNail folder. The Transfer Manager 3.4 and the BiDMAGIC FILES folder should be inside the BidMagic folder.

Solution

To run the transfer, they should open the Transfer Manager (preferably with Excel shut down), and choose *Import BidMagic Bid, then choose the appropriate transfer file.
The Bidmagic construction estimating software manual actually has quite detailed instructions for the transfer, people just don't look at it. Refer them to pages 388-392!

If folders are badly screwed up, it's often easiest to just have them reinstall MacNail and BidMagic and start over.
If they have current files, make sure they back them up first and rename their current MacNail and BidMagic folders to something else, so they don't replace the files and lose them.
