Duplicating and Deleting Prices

NOTE-- We retired the BidMagic Material Takeoff Software in 2001. It has been replaced by Goldenseal Material Takeoff Software.

We still include this BidMagic estimating software manual as a convenience for users of our older program. Many features are similar, in Goldenseal estimating.

Duplicating a Material

If you are adding a new material that is similar to an existing material, you can save time by starting with a duplicate.

To do so, follow these steps:
1. Click on the material item you'd like to duplicate.
2. Click the Duplicate bottom at the bottom of the window.
3. Change the name, price, and any other items that are different in the new item.

Deleting a Material

To delete an existing price item in the BidMagic Material Takeoff Software, follow these steps:
1. Delete the material from all assemblies that include the item (see page 46).
2. Open the Material Manager.
3. Click on the material item in the list.
4. Click the Delete Item button at the bottom of the window.
5. BidMagic will completely remove the item from the price book.

WARNING: Be extremely careful about deleting material items. Once an item is deleted, the only way to get it back is to re-enter it.
