Adding Rows |
Working with Accounting Files The MacNail Accounting worksheets are very similar. Each of them uses one row for each transaction or job cost item. You will type into any cells that are bordered (with lines around them). Unbordered cells are filled in by the MacNail construction accounting software, and will not usually need to be typed into. NOTE-- Goldenseal construction accounting software is the successor to MacNail, which we retired in 2000. Goldenseal is an integrated business management program that includes general accounting, job costing, payroll and project billing, plus construction cost estimating, contract writing and simple scheduling. It uses separate accounting records in a database, rather than lines in a spreadsheet. Adding New Rows You should fill in the blank lines in MacNail Accounting worksheets until you have filled in the very last line, just above the row labelled 'end'. To make room for more entries, choose *Add Rows from the EDIT menu. You control the number of rows that MacNail adds each time
by choosing *MacNail Options from the OPTIONS menu. You can set it to any number between
1 and 100. |
