Accounting Worksheet Structure |
Most MacNail worksheets have a similar structure. The top row or two of each worksheet is a heading. It labels each column, so you know what information it contains.headingstitles WARNING: Do not change any of the headings. It will cause problems with MacNail 's database functions. Each row in the body of the worksheet represents one transactions. It may be a check that you wrote, a deposit you made, a few hours of labor done by one of your employees, or a batch of materials delivered to a jobsite.transactions NOTE-- Goldenseal construction accounting software is the successor to MacNail, which we retired in 2000. Goldenseal is an integrated business management program that includes general accounting, job costing, payroll and project billing, plus construction cost estimating, contract writing and simple scheduling. It does not use Excel, but contains much of the same information as MacNail. The bottom of most MacNail construction accounting software worksheets includes an ending
marker so you won't
accidentally enter too many transactions. It also has a Query Box that lets you 'look up' information
quickly. |
