Memory use Excel version 2.2 is able to address any amount of memory. However, the program itself takes up much more memory, so it may run very poorly unless you have two or more megabytes of RAM. We do not recommend running Excel 2.2 with the MacNail construction accounting software unless you have the extra memory. See page 215 to set the memory partition. NOTE-- In 2000, MacNail was replaced by Goldenseal construction accounting software. Goldenseal is an integrated program that includes general accounting, job costing, payroll and project billing, plus estimating and other features. It's frugal with memory, and will run fine on any computer produced since the mid-1990's. Menus Excel 2.2 uses both short menu and full menus. The MacNail menu commands
are added only to the full menus and are not available on the short menus. |
