Form View Button

Every Account and Transaction includes a Form View button-- it's the rightmost button, at the lower left corner of the data entry window.

Using the Form View Button

The form View button lets you change the display for any account or transaction used in Goldenseal small business software.

Long Forms are the standard form for data entry. They look like a business form, and include all available fields.

Short Forms also look like a business form. They contain fewer fields than the long form-- you can use them for simpler transactions that don't require as much detail as the long form.

NOTE--Short Forms are only available for some windows. If the Short Form option is grayed out in the Form View popup menu, there is no short form available.

Additional Forms

Some records may have additional forms, which will appear in the popup menu for the Form View button.

In Estimates, click on the Form View button to see Dimensions. They allow you to enter project measurements, to calculate quantities for each line item in the estimate.

NOTE-- Estimates are available in Goldenseal estimating software versions. They may not appear in some other versions.
