When to Use Prospect Sources

Use Prospect Sources in the Address Book and in Customer Accounts.  You might want to include classifications like advertising, referrals, trade shows and your web site.

Entering Prospect Sources

To enter Prospect Sources, follow these steps:

  1. Choose Income Setup from the Options menu, and choose Prospect Sources from the submenu.
  2. Click the New button, and type in an item.  You can also double-click on an item and change its text.

NOTE-- The Prospect Sources list is a simple list of text.  For more about simple lists, click here .

Using Prospect Sources

To evaluate the results of your advertising efforts, use the Find command to locate customers and prospects who heard about you from each source.

You can also use the Prospect Source choices as a breakdown in Reports.
