Payroll Record Hours & Days Worked

Problem

In Goldenseal payroll software versions 4.6 and earlier, the Hours and Days Worked columns in the hours breakdown for a Payroll Record are editable, even though changes are not saved. This can be confusing.

Caught By

User bug report.

Workaround

It will cause confusion if we allow users to edit the hours worked in a Payroll Record, since the record will then not match the original Labor Hours, nor the paycheck. If you have already written a paycheck with incorrect labor hours, you'll need to delete the paycheck and Payroll Record, make the correction in the Labor Hours record, and then run the Write Payroll command again.

Solution

Starting with Goldenseal construction payroll software 4.7, those columns are not editable.
