Starting with Goldenseal accounting software version 4.6, you can fill in different income tax categories for each Customer and Project account.

When you create an Income Tax report, Goldenseal will split out income for each category. For example, you may find that useful if you do projects in different states, and need to file income taxes separately for each state.

How to Use

To enter a different tax category for a Customer account, follow these steps:

1. Choose Customers from the Accounts menu.
2. Click the Sales Setup button.
3. Enter a category into the Income Tax Class field.
4. Click OK.

To enter a different tax category for a Project account, follow these steps:

1. Choose Projects from the Accounts menu.
2. Click the More Info button.
3. Enter a category into the Income Tax Class field.
4. Click OK.
