Starting with Goldenseal estimating software version 4.5, you can change prices for Cost Items more easily. Just click the Change Price button, and enter a new price.

How to Use

To change the purchase price for any Cost Item, follow these steps:

1. Locate the item you'd like to change.
2. Click the Change Price button (next to the Purchase Price field).
3. Type in a new price.
4. Click OK.

NOTE-- In older versions of Goldenseal estimating software, you would need to change the Pricing Method to Manual, enter a new price, and then change the Pricing Method back to Latest Price.

If you don't see a Change Price button, you probably have customized the layout for Cost Items. To add the button, follow these steps:

1. Choose Custom Layouts from the Options menu, and choose Transactions from the submenu.
2. Enter Cost Items into the Transaction popup field at upper left.
3. Click on the button tool (fifth row left, in the tool palette on the left side of the window).
4. Click in the layout, and drag a rectangle where you'd like the button to appear.
5. You'll see a list of available buttons. Choose Change Price, then click OK.
6. Close the layout, and save changes.
