Print Dialog

Problem

A few users of the Windows version of Goldenseal small business software have reported a problem while printing, that causes other open windows to print on the page, in addition to what is supposed to be there. Usually this happens with the print progress window, when printing more than 5 pages.

User bug reports.

Workaround

Starting with Goldenseal software version 4.32, we have added an additional option so you can block this problem from occurring. You can do that by turning off the display of the Print Progress window, so it won't accidentally print on the page. Follow these steps:

  1. Choose Preferences from the Options menu, and choose Interface from the submenu.
  2. Turn on the Skip Print Progress Dialog check box.
  3. Click OK.

In some cases, you may also need to close other open windows, when printing.

Solution

We are still working on this problem. It appears to be a bug in QuickTime, and we have already reported it to Apple.

Technical Details

Programmer note-- code changed in CTCS_FormPrintout::PrintPanelRange. There is also support code in CInterfacePreferences and DB_File.
