Estimating-- Gross Price & Markup

Feature

Starting with Goldenseal estimating software version 4.3, you can add two new columns to printed forms or reports that show line items from an Estimate.

The Markup column shows the calculated markup.

The Gross Price column shows the gross price, before markup.

These columns are useful when you "hide" overhead line items, if you want to see more specifics than in the stock layouts.

How to Use

To show the gross price or markup columns, follow these steps:

  1. Choose Custom Layouts from the Options menu, and choose Printed Forms from the submenu.
  2. Enter Estimates into the Transaction popup field, at upper left.
  3. Enter the desired form into the Print Form popup field.
  4. Click in the report table (the field with horizontal stripes in the center of the report).
  5. Choose Add Column to Table from the Edit menu.
  6. Choose Gross Price or Markup, then click OK.
  7. To move the new columns to a new location, hold down the Control key, then click and drag.
  8. Close the layout, and save changes.
