Rental Transaction Number

Problem

After using the Billing command for Rentals, the Rental Transactions don't have the correct transaction number.

Caught By

User bug report.

Workaround

Click on the record number, and type in whatever you'd like.

HINT-- Those numbers don't have a box around them and might not seem editable, but they are! The same applies to check numbers, and many other record numbers in Goldenseal small business software.

Solution

Goldenseal rental management software version 3.7 properly fills in the next available transaction number.

Technical Details

To set the next transaction number for Rental Transactions, choose Record Numbering from the Options menu. This sets the next record number, and also allows you to set the way the number is displayed (for example, you can enter something like 2006-001).
