Starting with version 3.7 of Goldenseal small business software, Goldenseal automatically tracks the current location of each piece of equipment. It updates the location automatically whenever you enter Equipment Hours.

How to Use

Starting with version 3.7, Equipment accounts include three new fields-- showing the current Job Class and Job where the equipment was used most recently, as well as a Location within the job. The new fields will appear automatically when you upgrade the Goldenseal application.

NOTE-- If you customized the Equipment accounts layout, Goldenseal will not add the new fields automatically. In that case you can use the Revert to Original command to remove the customized version, or else use the Field tool to add them to your customized layout.

To have the Goldenseal business software program automatically fill in the current location of each equipment when you enter Equipment Hours, follow these steps:

  1. Choose Preferences from the Options menu, and choose Expenses from the submenu.
  2. Turn on the Update Equipment Locations checkbox.
  3. Click OK.
