A cost transaction is not posting. Why not?
If a cost transaction in Goldenseal project
accounting software does not show up in Job Cost reports, check the
original cost transaction.
- What's the status? NOTE--
If Void or Planned, it will have no effect on
job costs, T&M billing, payables or price updating. If Job
Cost Only, it will post to job costs, but won't
do anything else. If Pricing Only, it will update
material prices, but won't do anything else.
- For Material
Purchases or Other
Costs, check the Amount field. If zero, it posts 0.
- For Equipment
Hours, Labor
Hours or Subcontractor
Costs, check the Job Cost Amount field (you'll
probably need to click the More Info button to see it). If
zero, it posts 0. You probably need to enter a Job
Cost Rate. HINT-- It's best to
set up billing rates, and then assign them to each Equipment,
Employee or Subcontractor account. Then Goldenseal
will automatically fill in a job cost rate and amount
when you enter costs for them.
