Using Templates

How can I get it to fill in data automatically when I open a record?

Goldenseal estimating software and accounting software includes templates, which let you fill data into records automatically. You can create a template for each type of data that you'd like to start out with.

To set up a template, follow these steps:

  1. Locate an existing record that contains the data you'd like to use. If there isn't an existing record with the right data, then create a new record, fill it with the desired data, and give it Void status.
  2. Choose Template This Item from the Options menu.
  3. Give the template a name, then click OK.

To use a template, follow these steps:

  1. Click the template button (to the right of the New button) and choose one of the listed templates.
  2. Goldenseal will create a new record that starts out with the template data.
