Why doesn't a category show up in the list?

Goldenseal estimating software and accounting software useCategory Systems to set up a system of categories and subcategories. If a category is not visible, it is probably because the current category system does not include it.

Estimates have a Category System field that sets the category display. To change it, click the More Info button and enter a different system into the Category System field.

Many accounts also have a Category System field. When you are entering material purchases and other expenses, Goldenseal uses the category system for the job account.

Sales use the category system from the sales branch that you use for the sale.

If you would like to temporarily change to a different category system, choose Category Setup from the Costs menu, and choose Switch System from the submenu. It will temporarily change the list of categories and subcategories that is active.
