Problem
number mismatch or error between cost control
worksheet and cc? column of original ledger or log, when
they use query
box to check category or job totals
in MacNail construction accounting
software.
Diagnosis
'the numbers don't match up'.
Possible things that may cause a false mismatch:
• Using A, B, C, D under category in criteria: will also find AA, BB etc.
• Has 'repost error' in cc? column
• Job name doesn't match job # due to change after lookups removed
• Category change made in source after posting
Solution
For A, B, C etc: Type in ="=A" to find just category A
For 'repost error'-- check thru ALL item on that job or category
For retroactive changes, or other mismatches-- can always repost all items (see #246). This will make 100%
sure that the numbers are all correct.
