Diagnosis
1. commonest answer-- check Job
Cost Options in Options menu-- make sure that 'from log' is
marked correctly for that type of item
2. If from ledger-- check the 'type' of the item (labor, mat'l, subs, other) and make sure they are actually
posting that type of item (other=misc) when asked what to post at the beginning of the 'post to job costs' process.
3. If not that, try clearing the cc column-- maybe there is a space there or something (select all data cells
in column, Clear from Edit menu, Formulas).
4. Check version number-- if earlier than 3.3b, there is some chance it's a bug.
5. Do they have 'start' anywhere in the cc column BELOW the item? Or 'stop' in the cc column ABOVE the item?
6. May also be a code change problem in XL4 or XL5 (see #411). Solution
1. Reset Job Cost Options.
2. Post the right thing.
3. Repost and see if it works.
4. Get update.
5. Remove start and stop.
6. Reinstall manager.
