Numbers in Who Column |
Problem lookup formulas in labor log produce numbers in the "who" column instead of a name! Diagnosis First compare the lookup formula in user's log/ledger with your own. If the formula is damaged, that's the problem- have them remove/add the formulas using Formulas\*lookup formulas. Solution If the formulas are ok, but it still behaves strangely, check the Master index. Are there missing columns? Row 2 of the master index contains a bunch of headings for each column- L, LW, LZ, etc; row 1 contains headings like Labor, Subs, etc. These headings must be intact. Have them read the headings to you. Check also that there are in fact employee names in column 2, not employee numbers. Urge them to work on protected documents when using MacNail construction accounting software! NOTE-- The newer Goldenseal accounting software program is greatly improved, and does not have the weird lookup problems that were a frequent vexation in MacNail Comments Entered 12/9/92 by Vinay.
