No Checks Can Be Printed

Problem

check printing from ledger gives error "no checks could be printed from this selection" while using MacNail construction accounting software.

Diagnosis

1. did they have rows selected?
2. do the selected rows have pay out amounts?
3. are the selected items all labor checks?
4. Is check number a valid integer?

Solution

1. if not, be sure to first select the row or rows that you want to print. drag the mouse through ANY columns in the desired rows.
2. need to have valid check amounts!
3. Turn on the "print labor items in ledger as ordinary checks" option in *Payroll Options to print paychecks from the ledger. If they don't want to do that it will skip all items with "l" in the "type" column
4. If it is not a #, i.e. C104, MacNail skips it. All chk#'s must be valid integers. That's how MacNail accounting software tells checks from non-checks.

NOTE-- Goldenseal accounting software has a much better system for printing checks and paychecks.
