Problem
MacNail protects document after adding rows. Forces
you to “unprotect document” everytime
you need to add rows again when using MacNail construction accounting software (also applies to other modules).
NOTE-- this is a feature, not a bug. We protect documents
to prevent problems that users might cause. Things that
are OK to change are still accessible, even on a protected
worksheet.
Diagnosis
User wants to remove the "always protect" feature.
Solution
• Bring Accounting mgr to front.
•
Choose Formula\Define name.
•
Select "always.protect" from name list
•
Change =TRUE to =FALSE in the "refers to" field.
•
Click on Add button, then click ok.
stress to user that it's much safer not to fiddle with this setting, and that it's better to work
on protected docs.
NOTE-- Goldenseal accounting software is not based on
Excel, so it is much better at managing what you can change and
what you can't.
