Which Checks to Order

Problem

User wants to buy checks for Goldenseal accounting software. Which size, model, brand, style of check?

Diagnosis

Goldenseal small business accounting software will print on ANY check blank. So they can decide based on their own needs, rather than GS's.

CHECK POSITION

We have setups for generic check-on-top and check-in-middle formats (one check per page, the white spaces used for receipt info). These are the most convenient for most people. They can use the SAME check for regular payables and paychecks (the paycheck layout prints wage & deduction info in one of the white spaces.

HINT-- The check-on-top layout has a slight advantage, since you can list more invoices or payroll deductions on the other parts of the check (they can extend over 2/3 of the paper, not just 1/3).

We also have a three-check-per-page format if they print a LOT of checks. The problem is that they may end up with 1 or 2 checks on a partial page (which many printers can't handle).

BRAND

Goldenseal Accounting Software can print on ANYBODY'S checks. If they have a favorite brand, it's not hard to tweak the layout to print on it.

There are many sources for pre-printed checks. NEBS, Walmart, Staples, etc

Deluxe has a specific match for our layouts.

#81064 Laser Multi-purpose Top Check
