Can't Change Date Range or Item Range

Problem

The Date Range, Item Range, Breakdown or Date Field popups are grayed out in the controls at the top of a report.

Diagnosis

They are viewing a report. Some controls are grayed out, and they want to use them.

Solution

Users can change this in custom layouts. Follow these steps:

1. Choose Custom Layouts from the Options menu, and choose Reports from the submenu.
2. Go to the report with the problem.
3. Choose Report Display from the Options menu.
4. Turn on (or off) the controls that should be editable by the user.

NOTE-- Generally if the controls are turned off, it's because they don't make sense for that particular report. However if a "stock" report has something turned off that would be useful to have turned on, users should report that to us so we can change it for future versions of Goldenseal accounting software.
