Sort Special Choose *Sort Special to sort an accounting
worksheet into ascending or descending order (see page 104). NOTE-- MacNail was replaced by Goldenseal construction accounting software in 2000. Goldenseal is an integrated program that includes general accounting, job costing, payroll and project billing, plus estimating and other features. *Post to Ledger Choose *Post to Ledger to move Accounts Payable information from a Report to a Ledger (see page 194). A report must first be created before any posting can be done. To create a report, see pages 35 and 100. If you only want to post some of the items on the Report, click in the ck # column of the Report in the rows you do not want to post, and type in any text. An x will do fine. Only items that are blank will be posted by the MacNail construction accounting software. When you choose *Post to Ledger, you will see this dialog box: Choose the type of report you would like to use from the list of available Reports. If the desired report is already the active file (front-most window), click on This File. Once you have chosen a source, you will be asked to choose a Ledger to receive the posting. Each employee or supplier from the report will be assigned a check number, based on the first available blank checks. The check number will also be marked off in the ck # column of the Report. If you put a check next to Post Payment back to Logbook, each check number will also be marked off in the paid column of the Logbook or Logbooks originally used to create the Report.
