Accounting--MacNail (McN) Menu

Use the MacNail menuMcN menu to open the different MacNail accounting worksheets. You can also use it to transfer between the different modules in the MacNail construction accounting software.

This menu is identical in both the Accounting Manager and the Cost Control Manager.

NOTE-- MacNail was replaced by Goldenseal construction accounting software in 2000. Goldenseal is an integrated program that includes general accounting, job costing, payroll and project billing, plus estimating and other features. It's easier to use, and has many features that were not included in MacNail accounting software.

*Master Index

Keyboard shortcut: option-command-X.

Choose *Master Index to open the Master Index. If the Master Index is already open, it will be brought to the front.

*Checkbook Ledger

Keyboard shortcut: option-command-G.

Choose *Checkbook Ledger to open a MacNail Checkbook Ledger. If no Ledger is already open, the main Ledger will be opened. If a Ledger is already open, it will be brought to the front. If several Ledgers are already open, the one farthest back will be brought to the front. This allows you to 'cycle' through each of your Ledgers.

NOTE: You can also use the Excel WINDOW menu to activate any file, by name. To change to a different main Ledger, see page 168.
